Our Team
Two Polymer Scientists Boris Avrushchenko. PHD and Keith Murphy. Between them they have more that 70 years experience in the applied Polymer Industry. Both have earned advanced degrees and have worked on a vast array of projects from AEROSPACE through ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PRINTERS. Boris has great knowledge and expertise in Fluorocarbon Elastomer technology and applications. Keith`s prime expertise is in HCR/LIM silicones for Fusing applications. Keith, our Technical Director, has lived and worked in Japan for extended periods transferring LIM Technology back to a Joint Venture based in Europe.
Development and Process/Manufacturing Engineers Our Polymer Scientists are ably supported by one Development Engineer and two Process/Manufacturing Engineers. All are degreed people with more than 40 years of industrial experience between them. They work in close harmony to ensure projects are developed to ISO 9001-2000 standards, and smoothly transitioned into 7-SHIN for serial production.
Larry Biglow (Snr.Development Engineer) and Joe Jugovich (Snr.Manufacturing Engineer) recently spent considerable time at 7-SHIN transferring new Color Fuser/Pressure Roll projects for serial production in China. Prior to joining 7-SIGMA in 2002, Joe ran his own Toolmaking business hence he is our Toolmaking expert in Minneapolis. We have an in-house capability for design/development and manufacture of LIM tooling to 7-SIGMA unique designs. Sunil Chohan (Manufacturing Engineer) focuses his attention on rollers for use in Security Printing applications.
Technicians The people above are assisted by five Technicians comprised of a Laboratory Technician, two Development Technicians, and two Production Engineering Technicians. We also have a fully integrated CAD facility (SOLIDWORKS) for all component prints and tool drawings.
Product Managers This functional, hands-on, team is guided by our two Product Managers regarding our customer`s needs and expectations. Wade Eichhorn, a Graduate Physicist, is our Product Manager for Fusing Systems. Wade has over 30 years experience in Electrophotography, Imaging Science, and Fusing innovation. Eric Ferski, a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, has more than 20 years experience designing, developing and manufacturing precision Imaging Rollers for the Security Printing Industry worldwide. Eric is our point man for the transfer of business to 7-SHIN, and has over 5 years of experience setting up our Supply Chain Network in China.
